Digital Processing using GIMP

Creatively manipulate, edit and retouch images using the open source image editor, Gimp. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
It is commonly used to create graphics and logos, resize and crop photos, alter colours, stitch multiple images together, remove unwanted image elements, and to convert between different image formats. GIMP can also be used to create basic animated images in GIF format. Gimp is often used as a replacement for Adobe Photoshop
Audience: Anyone who would like to start creatively editing images for the web and print using the open source application Gimp.
Requirements: You do not need any previous knowledge of GIMP, but should have basic windows, keyboard and mouse skills. Some basic knowledge as covered in the Picasa course would be an advantage.
